A couple of days ago a user asked us if it would be possible to spawn workers using AWS spot instances. We found this idea very interesting. Combined with some always-on workers, spot instances could give a cheap but important speed boost to the tests.

We tried it and we liked it. Here are the steps if you want to try it yourself.

The last 2 weeks have been hectic for Testributor. Here is what we’ve been up to:

Bitbucket integration

Now users can import their code from Bitbucket as well. We did our best to make the experience the same as with GitHub integration. There are a couple of things that need some work and will be added in future iterations (automatic Web hook creation, Pull Request statuses).
